Business listing requests
Businesses can request inclusion through TopRated's contact form or direct email. A listing request gives us information to review, but it does not guarantee publication, ranking, or placement on a specific page.
Paid activity and editorial treatment
Commercial activity is handled separately from editorial judgments. If TopRated offers paid promotion, sponsored visibility, advertising, or enhanced commercial placements, those arrangements do not automatically control how a business is described or ranked in an editorial guide.
- Payment does not guarantee top placement in an editorial ranking.
- Payment does not guarantee inclusion in every relevant category page.
- Payment does not override factual corrections or category-fit decisions.
What a paid relationship may influence
If TopRated runs paid placements or sponsorships, those arrangements may affect separately labelled promotional visibility, category sponsorship, or commercial features outside editorial ranking logic.
Labelling
Sponsored or promotional activity should be distinguished from ordinary editorial content where practical.
Visibility
A paid arrangement may affect ad visibility or promotional placements, not automatic rank in buyer guides.
Facts
Business details still need to fit the page, category, and publishing standards.
What we may decline
- Requests to publish misleading, inflated, or unverifiable claims.
- Requests to place a business in an irrelevant category or city page.
- Requests to rewrite editorial judgments purely because a business disagrees with its position.
- Requests that would make the page less useful or less credible for readers.
